Congratulations to Stefan Albinski (Mona Vale) who took out The Australian Senior Medal on Tuesday, 7 May 2024.

The event is a national Senior Order of Merit ranking tournament and is held in conjunction with the 3-day NSW Senior Classic with The Lakes and Avondale. Players over the age of 55 years of age from 72 golf courses around the country traveled to Sydney to compete in the tournament once again this year.

Stefan, who started on hole 3 in the afternoon shotgun, recorded a fine even-par round of 72 stokes, which included two closing birdies on his last two holes. He won by 1 shot over Scott Mayo (Coolangatta Tweed Heads) and Rowan Easterbrook (Ryde Parramatta) who each signed for 73 strokes. Stefan also birdied the 3rd and 16th holes on a day of on-again, off-again showers.

Congratulations also to Robert Trotter (The Australian, handicap 9) who took home the winning net prize with 71 stokes net. Robert birdied his first hole, the 12th, and also had back-to-back birdies on holes 17 & 18, in a fine display of golf around his home track. He won by count-back over Glenn Osborne (Cronulla, handicap 3).
