The Clubhouse Cup was presented by the Design and Building committee to commemorate the opening of the third Clubhouse at Kensington in May, 1986. The original Clubhouse situated at the North Eastern corner of the property, was opened in 1905 when the Club moved from Botany to Kensington. In 1931 it was gutted by fire. The second building on the present site was completed in 1933 and on 12th October, 1982 in the Club’s centenary year, it too, was destroyed by fire.
